COTELCO joined the National Electrification Administration (NEA) on its National Candle Lighting Program in line with the 9th National Electrification Awareness Month with the theme: “Electricity Access for All: A Platform for Nation Building”.
On August 31, 2018, we prayed for a vigorous Rural Electrification Program by lighting up the remaining 331 Sitios/Puroks in the coverage area of Cotabato Electric Cooperative, Inc. During the said activity, COTELCO expressed its commitment and determination to achieve a 100% electrification within its area of responsibility.
The candle lighting was participated by COTELCO Board President Zenaida Embodo, together with COTELCO General Manager Engr. Godofredo B. Homez, COTELCO employees, local legislators and valued member-consumers.
Just recently during the budget deliberation for NEA, there was a significant cut in the budget for Sitio Electrification Program. A pledge of commitment was signed to appeal to legislators in support to the continuing electrification program.
