Brigada Electric Check | Cotelco Inc.

To promote electrical safety among students and teachers, the COTABATO ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE INC. (COTELCO) has organized 4 teams composed of linemen and service crew to conduct the simultaneous electrical check in their assigned areas that started May 28 until June 02, 2018 as part of the Brigada Eskwela 2018 thru BRIGADA ELECTRIC CHECK with the theme “Pagkakaisa para sa handa, ligtas, at matatag na paaralan tungo sa magandang kinabukasan”.

The primary objective of which is to check the electrical installations inside the classrooms for safety purposes of the students free from electrocution and fire incident. There are 13 schools availed the free electrical services from COTELCO in rehabilitating their electrical connections: Malinao Elementary School in Banisilan Cotabato, Kibudtungan Elementary School in Carmen, Cotabato, Doña Josefa Elementary School in Kabacan, Marbel High School in Matalam, New Antique Elementary School in Mlang Municipality, New Panay Elementary School in Tulunan, President Roxas Elementary School in President Roxas, Malatab Elementary School in Antipas, Katipunan Central Elementary School in Arakan, Pangao-an Elementary School in Magpet, San Roque Elementary School and Perez Elementary School in Kidapawan City and Ricardo Ipong National High School in Makilala, North Cotabato.

The Brigada Electric check is an integral part of the cooperative’s social responsibility aimed at promoting electrical safety in educational institutions by means of securing the integrity of electrical connections of the school premises and classrooms. Brigada Electric Check is COTELCO’s contribution to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela activities which is a concerted efforts of all stakeholders, including the private sector in preparing for the opening of classes this coming June 04, 2018.
