COTELCO Multi-Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) are now taking part in the electrification program particularly in the cooperative social responsibility (CSR).
On 21 March 2018, the MSEAC Makilala showed its support to the IP caravan medical outreach program spearheaded by the Regional Interagency committee (RIAC).
The activity was held at Sitio Concepcion in Barangay Biangan, Makilala, North Cotabato. The program aims to officially launch the activity dubbed as the last mile with the theme “Saan Mang Sulok, Kalusugan Maaabot”.
Even the farthest sitios within the country will be given the chance to avail the services provided by the government especially those who need medical care.
More or less 300 residents undergone medical check-up including laboratory and dental, surgical screening, minor operation, and consultation, as well as free vitamins and medicines.
Meanwhile, the MSEAC Kabacan initiated an electrification awareness symposium to some of the active women’s organization in Kabacan, North Cotabato.
The said activity was conducted in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) which is in line with the Women’s Month Celebration on March 23, 2018, at the USM function hall.
COTELCO will continue to show its strong support to the various initiative of the government as a partner in the rural electrification program.
MSEAC is on the Act
Every Multi-Sectoral Electrification Advisory. Council (MSEAC) member is dedicated and committed to perform their duties and responsibilities in espousing all the programs of the cooperative and to lend a hand in all its thrusts for the good and benefit of all member-consumer-owners.
They continue to move ahead carrying the belief that “nothing is impossible if we will work together”. Just like the MSEAC from Kidapawan East district headed by BOD Zenaida Embodo and Magpet District headed by BOD Jupiter Rubino who had their joint meeting for the 1st quarter of 2018 last held at Lady M Chinese Cuisine in Kidapawan City.
The meeting was facilitated by Mary Grace Clar- Coop promotions head. Together they looked into the matter concerning all the complaints, requests and problems faced by all member-consumer-owners in their district in terms of electrification to the BOD and to the management of COTELCO for immediate and appropriate action.
It was also mentioned during the meeting about the empowerment the member-consumer-owners (MCOs) by intensifying and utilizing the new media like facebook and other social networking sites in which the trend now, most of the people are now engaged into it. Posting what is going on in the coop will help consumers understand the situations especially when there is power interruptions.
MSEAC is bounded by their roles as they took the oath before the Cotabato Electric Cooperative Inc. as a complement of the electric cooperative.
