Cotelco, Organize Village Sector

Cotabato Electric Cooperative has fully in state the National Center of Electric Cooperative Consumers (NCECCO) barangay chapter in two towns of North Cotabato.

It was first organized in the municipality of Banisilan followed in Carmen town comprising 48 barangay.

Engr. Godofredo Homez, General Manager of COTELCO said, the program aims to enhance member-consumers participation to augment the cooperative’s mission in serving adequate energy which is vital in any aspect of life.

It will also help the realization of energizing homes in far flung villages.

NCECCO will work as ‘Cotelco ng Barangay’ which will assess and validate applicants; conduct regular line-clearing operations; intensify campaign against illegal connections; and collection of monthly payments – which will surely benefit member-consumers in far-flung villages.

NCECCO consist of sectoral representatives from Farmers, Youth, Business, Senior Citizen, Barangay Council, Academe, Gov’t employee, Indigenous People, Religious and women’s group.

COTELCO targets the full completion of ‘Cotelco ng Barangay’ in 348 barangay under its service area.

GM Homez, urged member-consumers to be a part of the program which aims to realize the cooperative’s mission-vision and impart their views and suggestions in improving the delivery of services for brighter tomorrow.  –Andrew Tabugoc
