The Cotabato Electric Cooperative Inc. is enjoining all members of the coop to be one with the nation in celebrating the National Women’s Month anchored on the theme “We Make Change Work for Women,” during the regular convocation program on March 19, 2018 at Tejada Hall in Manubuan, Matalam, Cotabato.
In the said celebration our women wore their color “PURPLE” shirt which symbolizes the strength of empowered women.
They were serenaded by one of the COTELCO employees and were given red roses by their male officemates.
It was an opportunity to honor women who have contributed in the development of our society especially to the cooperative and also to show our love, care and respect to them.
COTELCO General Manager Engr. Godofredo B. Homez, MBA., said the COTELCO WomensMonth celebrates celebration will serve as an avenue to salute and recognize the strong and loving women of the electric cooperative. “Being a woman is not a hindrance in holding positions of responsibility in a company or organization”, he added.
The cooperative will continue to strengthen the role and capacity of women as an equally important part in the attainment of our goals in the electrification efforts of the cooperative.
COTELCO is an active advocate and partner of the member-consumers in the campaign for women’s rights.
Let us continue to promote an environment where people enjoy the same opportunities without the fear of being discriminated for who and what they are and to honor women who are instrumental in molding who we are, helping us, sacrificing for us; as a mother, wife, sister, co-worker or a friend.
